While Danny very bravely solo-parented, I spent the weekend in Rehoboth Beach catching up with my friends from college. It has been a year since we've last seen each other, but it is easy to pick up where we've left off. I hope to post some pictures of this trip soon and am excited about making it an annual thing.
When I arrived home, I had some catching up to do as well with Brynn and Alex. I missed them terribly....
We took advantage of the break in the heat wave to spend some time outside.....
It was a great weekend with friends and so sweet to come home to my babies (all three of them).
We had so much fun on this trip. We hiked and explored towns and streams. We enjoyed the late afternoon thunder in a way that can only be experienced in the mountains. We napped, ate, and swam. But the best part of this whole trip was watching cousins playing with each other.
And even if we'd never left the house it would've been worth the 3 hour flight and 4 hour drive to get to Aspen.
The gondola rides were a nice bonus...
And the Maroon Bells were breathtaking. I'd been there before, but never with such precious cargo...
We dipped our toes in icy cold creeks....
And mostly we laughed, got to eat graham crackers whenever we wanted, and screamed at the top of our lungs...
