Finding Nature

One of the things I miss most about Colorado is access to great hiking. We did a lot of camping and hiking when I was a kid and want my kids to be able to experience this too as much as possible on the east coast. It turns out that there is a cute little hike not too far from our house in Saunders Woods. While it isn't Colorado, it is calming to be outside in the elements.

Brynn and Alex loved the new transportation, but promptly fell asleep. When they woke up they loved exploring.

We spent the rest of the weekend just living and smiling..

Brynn and Alex turned 16 months old and it is such a great age. They are coming up with their own games and chair wrestling is one of the latest..

Can't wait to see what the next month holds!

We have been trying to get a good picture of Brynnie's crazy curls and it remains elusive. This is the best we have so far. They are wild and adorable, much like her personality.

Happy Father's Day 2011

Bubbles and Tunnels

Happy birthday daddy! Danny turned 34 years old this week. Brynn and Alex couldn't stay up late enough to eat crab cakes and cupcakes, but celebrated the day anyway by blowing bubbles with Grandmommy.

And playing with their new tunnel from Grandmommy...

This little tube continues to provide hours of entertainment and hysterical laughter.

Brynn's love of shoes continues. Now she likes to wear mine and try to walk around. She is surprisingly good at it. She has also figured out how to get her own shoes on, although they are usually on the wrong feet. Brynn Does not yet know her left from her right. Thankfully, she is only 15 months old and has many many more months until she applies for college

Fog Horns

The fog settled in at the beach house and you could hear ships signaling their horns in the distance. It was nice to be on a nearly empty beach....

Daddy invented some new games....

It is always nice to spend the weekend at the beach in any kind of weather. The twins are starting to get used to their room and have figured out the routine there. But it is also nice to come back to sheets without sand and the familiarity of home. My work will end this week for the rest of the summer and although I will be studying to take my licensing exam, I'm looking forward to more time at home with these munchkins!

Memorial Day 2011

We spent the holiday weekend in Rehoboth Beach, soaking up sun, swimming, and eating. Alexander has decided that eating does indeed appeal to him, which makes his parents very happy!

We ventured to the playground and the boardwalk...

It was also a weekend of firsts. First popsicles and grotto's pizza. They loved the popsicles until they melted and fell apart and Brynn couldn't figure out what had happened and why she couldn't get the little pieces back on. So she just decided to take Alex's, one of the perks of having a twin.

They loved everything about the beach and we can't wait to go back!
